What are YOU doing this summer?

  • Camp OFLA is a one-week summer camp from June 9-15 for students in grades 3-8 who are interested in learning a foreign language. Languages offered include Japanese... and all of the other languages taught in Dublin EXCEPT Latin. We should get all of your younger brothers and sisters in on this... Our very own Melissa Ding and Alec Wilson have been asked to work as camp counselors for the Japanese group this year!

  • Ohio Northern University has opened registration for its annual U.S.-Japan Summer Camp! This two-week immersion program has levels for both beginners and experienced students of Japanese, who will work together with high school students from Japan to improve their language skills and to experience a wide variety of cultural activities. Scholarships may be available, and all participants receive college credit!

  • Two summer travel opportunities from IACE Travel for high school students to visit Japan are being planned. The Osaka Summer Exchange Program lasts for ten days in July, costs $998 per person (not including airfare). The 8th Annual Okinawa Youth Exchange Program lasts for 12 days in July, and includes visits to Osaka and Kyoto. The cost is $2580 per person (not including airfare).
